Support Local Designers and Artists

Salt Lake City takes the cake for providing cool festivals and strolls for us during the summer months.  With hopes that all of this crazy weather starts clearing out soon, there are a bunch of fun weekend events to take part in starting now that give all of the fashion talents of Utah a place to showcase their work.  Here are just a couple of the events that you should check out, starting tomorrow!
Farmers Market: Saturdays, June 12- October 18, 2010
Not only does the Farmers Market offer the best place to get fresh produce and breakfast every Saturday for the rest of your summer, but they also have tons of booths where local fashion designers sell their merchandise.  Last year I saw really hip, printed t-shirts, hand-dyed skirts, and gorgeous jewelry  from really talented artists.  You just have to check it out for yourself, and go support our local talent!  And I’ll be sure to keep you all updated on what I see during this summer.
Utah Arts Festival: June 24- 27, 2010
This is also another amazing festival to check out every summer.  Last year was such a blast from all of the music, delicious food, and cool vendors selling their work.  There are going to be a lot of local jewelry artists and designers at the booths this year, so if you are looking for some new summer accessories, go support some of the local people showcasing their work at the Arts Festival!  Bring your whole family, and make a fun weekend out of it!
My favorite picks from this coming Arts Festival:
Gorgeous hand-made bracelets and necklaces by Hanan Ingel & Erez Epshtein: click this link! (The pictures from the site won’t allow you to download to your computer)
Beautiful printed scarves by Denise Stucki: click this link to see them!
